In the automated production of IT connectors (such as USB Type-C, HDMI, RJ45, board-to-board connectors, etc.), resistance welding has become one of the core welding processes due to its advantages of high welding efficiency, strong consistency of weld spots, and small heat-affected zone. It is mainly applied to key connection scenarios of connectors, including "contact-wire", "contact-substrate" and "housing assembly". Its application needs to be combined with the characteristics of IT connectors, i.e., "miniaturization, high precision and high reliability".
Specific Application Scenarios
• Contact-wire welding
• Contact-substrate welding
• Metal housing-shielding layer welding
• Welding of micro-components
The above welding processes can be applied to corresponding base metals for welding according to different conditions.
Optional configurations: 1. Inserted electrodes; 2. Tungsten-molybdenum electrodes; 3. Copper alloy electrodes.
